WASHINGTON, DC., September 4th, 2025 – SIECUS: Sex Ed for Social Change appeared in an article by Geoff Mulvihill in AP News. Mulvihill detailed the Trump Administration’s sweeping attack on sex education threatening over $81 million in federal funding for sexual education materials in 40 states, DC, and five territories if they do not eliminate LGBTQ+ content.

AP News spoke with Director of Public Affairs, Alison Macklin. “This money is essential to states and territories to support sex education,” she said. “They build critical life skills for young people.”
